How to fundraise

Where your money goes
Your donations to Friends of the Earth Charitable Trust will help us protect the wellbeing of people and planet, including our work to fight the climate emergency.
- £500 can help fund our Policy and Insight Team's vital research on climate solutions.
- £1,000 can help fund our team of lawyers to challenge high-profile cases, like stopping airport expansion and ending government investment of fossil fuel projects abroad.

Why fundraise for Friends of the Earth?
Friends of the Earth has a great track record when it comes to environmental successes. Over the past year we:
✔️ Helped stop the UK government funding fossil fuel projects abroad
✔️ Triggered industry action on plastic pollution;
✔️ Supported over 200 local Climate Action groups in developing community solutions to the climate crisis.
The financial future is uncertain and we need your support more than ever. With your help we'll demand that post-coronavirus recovery plans tackle the climate and nature emergencies.

Inspiration for crafting

Bake off
Get competitive with your baking! Host an online bake off and charge for entry, or get sponsored to bake as many cakes in an afternoon as possible.

Do a knitting challenge
Knit scarves to order, or host a knitting evening online with friends in return for a donation.

Raise some dough
Love baking? Why not run an online workshop, and invite friends and family along in exchange for a donation.

Get artistic
Share your talent with an online workshop or event, or get sponsored for creating a piece of art for your local community.

Home-made jewellery
Sell your own designs or hold an online workshop in exchange for donations.

Greenfingers
Grow seasonal plants to sell to friends or family. If you're really clued up in the garden, host an online Q&A to answer gardening queries and ask for a donation. Or try your hand at running a flower arranging workshop.

Pickles, chutneys & jams
Who doesn't love a pickle? Wash and use old glass jars for a batch of pickles, chutney or jam, and sell your tasty treats to friends and family.

Gift packages
There are easy ways to make candles and soaps (and a whole host of useful guides online). Package them up and sell them to friends and family as postable presents.
